I am a child of God.
I am a human.
I am a mother.
I am a wife.
I am a daughter, sister, cousin and aunt.
I am blessed.
I am damaged.
I am healing.
I am hurting.
I am loved.
I am hated.
But above all...I am a child of God. I am all things because of Him. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I belong to Him. My life really is not my own. There is a reason for everything that has happened to me, and because of me. There is a reason for all things. ALL things.
So, when I look in the mirror and see everything I don't want to be....remind me who I am.
When I can't receive your love, afraid I'll never be enough...remind me who I am.
In the lonliness places...when i can't remember what grace is...
Remind me who I am.
HE loves me. That will have to be enough.

Car Insurance...Got it?
So....my husband was involved in a car accident yesterday.
Not a horrific one. Not even one that totaled his car. He was driving down Kingshighway, when somebody thinking they had super fast powers, tried to dash across Holly Hills...but then realized when my husband smashed into him, that he indeed did not have super powers. Idiot.
My husband does not drive a new car. Not even a newER car. His car is 18 years old. We can't afford two car payments, and his car runs...so why would we get another one? However, my husband has a second job as a pizza delivery driver. The tips he makes doing that allows us to send our kids to a catholic school, which is a priority in our lives.
The crash caused him to lose the right front side the car, which involves the headlight.
You need a headlight, or else you get pulled over by the PoPo and get a ticket. He was pulled over already last night just bringing Julianne home from school. How is he supposed to deliver pizzas at night...with no headlight?
And now what do we do? The guy says he has insurance...but this can not be verified.
Nothing pisses me off more than people who drive around without car insurance. HOW DARE YOU?? Why do you think it is OK to do that? You can't afford it? Well boo hoo...I can't afford a lot of things either, but I don't put other peoples livelihoods at steak just so I can have them.
If you can't afford car insurance, do not drive. Period. I don't care about your circumstances. It's the law.
And it is only fair.

Moth Life.
Cousins. That is what Butterflies and moths are. Closely related, but oh so different. Both start off as these caterpillar like things. The butterfly, as a caterpillar, is pretty, fuzzy and cute. Moths, the less fortunate cousins, are not brightly colored, but are usually brown and broad, and sometimes even contain a stinger. And we all know, stingers scare people.
Butterflies fly around during the day, looking so beautiful and dreamy. Children and adults alike get a little happy feeling when a butterfly flutters by. The dumb moth cousin is nocturnal. It flies at night so nobody can see him. And if a person does see a moth, they usually are trying to swoosh it out of their house, or their children are screaming because it got inside the house. How fair is that?
